Lammy is the future…obviously.

My trawl through the hallowed grounds of left-leaning journalism continues apace today. The Guardian (or at least, Mark Lawson) suggests that the idea of all the party leaders at the next UK election being led by “three white male Protestants: Brown, Cameron, Campbell” is, of course, an event worthy of much wailing and gnashing of teeth. This is all very diffferent to the US. “A UK equivalent of Barack Obama is very hard to spot - David Lammy, perhaps…” suggests Lawson with an apparent straight face. The real question for the "diversity" and PC brigade to ask is why neither the Labour Party (lets not count Margaret Beckett who was only an acting leader) or the Libs have never been led by a woman or a Jew? We have managed both in recent history … Lawson is right to point out that Democratic presidential contender Obama is "spectacularly unqualified, inexperienced and vulnerable". But then so is Lammy. And as a barrister (specialising in medical ethics, negligence and commercial litigation) with a masters from the Law School at Harvard University he isn’t particularly representative of many of his constituents or much of the male black community in the UK

Very interesting anomalies about the leadership of those parties.

There was a point in the MT cabinet when there were about 8 Jews. Lammy is a chancer , I don`t have evidence but my fraud bunion itches when he is talking.

Your point about racialist selection equally applies to the Conservative Party who end up choosing Priti Patel , say, as if she was representative of Asian/Black Britain Not that I have anything against Priti Patel as it happens but like many successful people of Syub continental extraction her family went to Africa to work in the civil service before being kicked out by the blacks for their exploitative control of the countries business. As I well know myself , not all black and Asian people approve of everything other people , who happen to be the same-ish , colour do and think .There are in fact some benign racist assumptions behind all of this .

Its a bit like the early days of Black actors whne Caribbean and African middle class blacks stood for the American underclass. they were the only actors around the right colour

Sidney Poitier ( Caribean and Posh)
The Woman on Star Trek ( African and posh)

It might sound silly but I really think its telling analogy and all the while the absolute prescription on class gets more and more complete .

I see your tactic IT...you are going out into the wild and seeking rare blooms of stupidity to bring back to the motherland. I see you springing on this in the glooming forest and cupping it with infinite delicacy in your gnarled hands . “I HAVE IT !!!!”

Brave man , I keep myself pure

N, I feel the rage growing within me. Being a dentally-challenged Brit, I must confess to being in awe of young Lammy's teeth. Whatever else you say about him, he's got a lovely set of gnashers....

This tired charade of having a 'breakthrough', be it gender, race of religon is so uninspiring.

In business does anyone think that it should be anything other than merit which gets you to a senior position?

We should look to countires that try social engineering like this, say South Africa. How is that country doing economically and politically?
