Save the German newts

The German government wants to dilute EU wildlife conservation laws to allow businesses to expand more easily.
I suspect fervent eco-warrior David Cameron wouldn’t go along with Merkel but couldn’t the German Chancellor just possibly be a wee bit right. Source

We are a nation of animal lovers, we always look after our furry friends, so I'm not sure this will get much support from the UK.

"fervent eco-warrior David Cameron"

???

Do I hear a bit of disappointment with smart & handsome David?

Don't worry, Angie is just saying "read my lips, no [insert whatever people like to hear]" and then ...

Germany's Govt has just set a record domestically - the first time The President has refused to sign 8 pieces of legislation.

I don't think Merkel has a prayer which is why she's trying the backdoor EU route

Whilst all regulations are a burden on business, would your first choice of regulations to scrap be those protecting newts?

Scrap all those employment regulations, equality rules, and the like, they are far more damaging.
